Sophie Ecclestone Returns for India Series

Recall for India Series
England has announced the reintegration of left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone for the upcoming five-match T20 series against India. This change comes after she took a break from playing to prioritize her well-being and to recover from a quadriceps injury.
Injury Recovery
The 26-year-old bowler from Lancashire missed recent T20 and ODI victories against the West Indies as she focused on healing from a knee injury sustained at the Women’s Premier League in India earlier this year. Before her absence, she played in two one-day matches and six T20s for Lancashire.Get the latest fixtures & standings on VIASPORT Score
Previous Absences
The India series will be Ecclestone's first appearance for England since the Ashes series against Australia in January, during which she opted not to participate in a television interview after raising concerns regarding team fitness in prior tournaments.
Squad Changes
Currently ranked fourth in the ICC T20 bowler standings, Ecclestone takes the place of leg-spinner Sarah Glenn in a revised 14-player squad. The head coach highlighted the depth of talent within the spin department while suggesting that Glenn's absence opens the door for her to play competitive matches at club level.
