Therese Johaug, the famous cross-country skier from Norway, has welcomed her second child. This joyful news was shared during the Norwegian Sports Gala, a significant event in the sports community.
Special Announcement at the Gala
During the gala, Johaug was honored with a special award. Although she could not attend in person, she sent a heartfelt video message from her hospital room at Rikssjukhuset. In her message, she expressed her emotions and gratitude to the audience, saying she was full of hormones and ready to give birth.
New Addition to the Family
The host of the gala revealed that Johaug has given birth to a baby boy named Nils. She and her husband, Nils Jakob Hoff, also have a daughter named Kristin, who was born on May 17, 2023, which is Norway's National Day.
A Night of Honors
At the gala, awards were given to outstanding athletes. Alongside Johaug, former biathlete Johannes Thingnes Bø received an honorary prize for his achievements in sports. Johaug was also nominated for Female Athlete of the Year but lost to rifle shooter Jeanette Hegg Duestad.
