Crashes Impact Canada GP Practice Sessions

Leclerc's Chassis Woes After Crash
Charles Leclerc's performance in the opening practice session of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix was cut short after he crashed into the wall. Initially displaying competitive speed, Leclerc locked up at Turn 3, skidding into the wall at Turn 4 which resulted in a damaged chassis. The incident necessitated a chassis change that ruled him out for the rest of the day.
Stroll Struggles on Return
Lance Stroll made his return to the circuit after recovering from a hand injury but encountered difficulties in practice. After showing early potential, he crashed into a wall during the second practice session, sustaining suspension damage which further limited his time on the track. Stroll’s performance raised concerns about the effects of his recent injury, but he appeared focused on improving in the upcoming sessions.
Colapinto Faces Performance Hurdles
Franco Colapinto, representing Alpine, also struggled with the pace of his car during practice. His previous race performances set a challenging backdrop, and he found himself significantly behind his teammate. Colapinto noted issues with the car's handling, highlighting a lack of confidence and connectivity that prevented him from achieving better lap times.

As the qualifying sessions approach, drivers are under pressure to perform. Despite the setback, Leclerc's experience may allow him to recover well from his limited practice time. Meanwhile, both Stroll and Colapinto are tasked with addressing their issues quickly to optimize their chances for a strong performance during the race.
