Philip Broberg Signs Major Contract

Broberg's Olympic Selection

Philip Broberg, a 24-year-old defenseman, has had a great start to the year. He was chosen to be part of Tre Kronor's Olympic team after showing strong skills in the NHL.

New Contract with St. Louis Blues

Broberg has now signed a six-year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues. This deal is valued at $48 million, with an annual salary of $8 million. He has played in all 45 games for the Blues this season, scoring 14 points with 2 goals and 12 assists.

Career Background

Before joining the Blues, Broberg played for the Edmonton Oilers, where he had a successful season, scoring 29 points in 68 games. He was drafted eighth overall by the Oilers in 2019. In Sweden, he played for AIK and Skellefteå at the elite level.
