Transition to Grass Fields
FC Nordsjælland recently shifted their training routine to a natural grass field near Right to Dream Park, stepping away from their usual artificial surface. This adjustment reflects the need for diverse training environments, particularly during the warmer afternoon sessions.
Zidan Sertdemir's Journey
Emerging midfielder Zidan Sertdemir has become a noteworthy presence in FC Nordsjælland's lineup. In a recent interview, he discussed his development and the aspirations that drive him, highlighting his growth after facing difficulties early in his professional career.
Overcoming Challenges
Sertdemir's trajectory has not been smooth. Since joining FC Nordsjælland from Bayer Leverkusen in January 2023, he faced significant challenges, including delayed registration that kept him from playing for six months. Through these experiences, he has matured both as a player and as an individual. "I've gained maturity and resilience from these experiences," Sertdemir noted.

Looking ahead, Sertdemir expressed a strong desire to play in one of Europe’s top leagues. After debuting for Bayer Leverkusen at age 16, his ambition remains focused on excelling at FC Nordsjælland. "My aim has always been to play more and eventually resume my journey in one of the five major leagues, where I can further demonstrate my capabilities," he explained.
Contract Situation
Sertdemir is currently contracted with FC Nordsjælland until the end of 2025. Although interest from clubs like Galatasaray and Sassuolo has been reported, he emphasizes staying focused on his current performance rather than on potential future transitions. "While discussions are ongoing regarding my contract, I prefer to concentrate on the present and my contributions to the team," he concluded.
